Palace Skateboards teamed up with Ralph Lauren for the brand’s 50th anniversary to design and release a Palace Polo range. To celebrate the remarkable collaboration between two titans of the fashion world, the brands turned to MPC to present the clothes (for the first time) in moving image.
Shot over two days in Almeria, Southern Spain, featuring dramatic desert locations used in many feature films from James Bond to Indiana Jones. The stunning desert back drop, with its extraordinary colours and textures, elevated the client’s products and created a juxtaposition between elegant clothing and raw landscape. We shot with multiple cameras, drones, horses, cars, stunt riders, precision drivers and six professional skaters.
The challenge was to present the clothes in a desirable way but also through a typically quirky, amusing concept and execution.
The film was made solely for release on Instagram in various executions and was watched, liked (200,000+ times) and shared by Palace/Polo enthusiasts globally.
